With over 15 years of experience in individual and family counseling, I’m committed to supporting clients through life’s challenges. Specializing in a variety of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, grief, OCD, trauma, ADHD, autism, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, and relationship counseling, I offer a holistic, client-centered approach aimed at healing and growth.

Throughout my career I’ve built strong, collaborative relationships with primary care physicians, ensuring an integrated approach to mental and physical health. By working alongside healthcare teams, we focus on treating the whole person, recognizing the profound connection between mental and physical well-being.

I’m passionate about making my clients feel heard, valued, and cared for. I strive to create a safe, supportive space for individuals and families to explore their emotions and experiences. My approach emphasizes empathy, validation, and respect, fostering a therapeutic environment where my clients can confidently work toward healing, understanding, and lasting change.

Above all, I’m driven by the belief that everyone deserves to be seen and understood. My work is rooted in compassion, with the goal of helping my clients not only manage their symptoms but also lead fulfilling, meaningful lives.

For as long as I can remember I’ve had a passion for health and fitness. It was actually through fitness that I found an outlet from the stress and anxiety I faced during my middle school years - it helped me manage body image concerns and frustrations at school.

My passion is to help others experience the benefits that exercise, yoga and Reiki can have on the mind, body and spirit.

In addition to my responsibilities as COO, I practice Reiki and lead private and small group yoga sessions here at Revelations Counseling & Wellness.

I’ve also studied the Chakras and hold my level 1 and 2 Reiki certifications.

I graduated from Grove City College. In my spare time I love horseback riding, being on the water and spending time with Matt, our two girls and our crazy German Shepherd.

Today, nutrition and fitness are a huge part of my everyday routine, but that was not always the case. About 18 years ago I suffered from Obesity.

I understand the mindset and obstacles someone faces when wanting to change, but not necessarily knowing how to go about making that change. I was able to achieve my physical goals by designing a nutrition and fitness routine on my own and holding myself accountable to stay with it. I beat the odds against me and found success, losing 105 pounds as a result of my efforts and commitment.

I’m able to provide a unique perspective that has been used to help design the framework for our business model and the programs we offer.

My goal is to use my wellness and behavioral change training to help you reach your goals and to teach you how to create and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

When I was a young man going to engineering school, I found my purpose in life, and it was not engineering! That purpose is to help people who feel hopeless, lost, or disconnected to discover or rediscover life as an opportunity for joy and connection with others. I have experienced firsthand how the duties of everyday life can lead to stagnation and detachment from purpose and meaning. I enjoy helping my patients find that unique purpose within them and help them to discover a meaningful life.

I have over 3 years of experience working with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. I’ve worked with patients to find stability and new ways of coping with psychological and emotional disturbances. Brought to the therapy profession through my own recovery journey, I’m dedicated to assisting patients with making healthy and lasting lifestyle changes. I specialize in co-occurring disorders, anxiety, depression, and PTSD. I utilize an eclectic person-centered approach, pulling from multiple modalities to fit each patients’ individual strengths and needs. In my free time I enjoy playing music, reading, and spending time outside with my family.

Like so many children, when asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, my answer, in short, was “an astronaut.” And believe, me when I say that I still love astronomy and dream of venturing out into the unknown. However, it was my high school Guidance Counselor who influenced me into having the dream of becoming a therapist. Her mentorship put that dream within arm’s reach for me as she supported me through some of the most depressing and challenging years of my childhood. Since meeting her, my career path has been filled with experience within the mental health field. Professionally, I have observed, supported, mentored, and counseled people in my community for over 20 years. Though I’ve held various occupational positions outside of the mental health field, my primary career has always been in human services. In my experience, I have worked in residential, correctional institutions, medical, and outpatient office environments. My clientele includes children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and older adult populations. My experience has been utilized to help clients with various mental health disorders. My previous titles include Certified Nursing Assistant, Mental Health Technician, Mental Health Specialist, Behavioral Health Technician, Behavioral Health Consultant, Behavioral Health Specialist, Mobile Therapist, and Outpatient Therapist. I have interned with, been mentored by, and supervised by some of the greatest LPC’s, Psychiatrist, and Psychologist in the mental health field. Today I hold a Bachelor in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I use a strengths-based and client-centered approach to counseling. However, each method I implement is designed to meet the individual client’s therapeutic needs. My passion to listen to and guide the people of our communities has led me to continue my career path with Revelations Counseling & Wellness. It is my greatest honor to continue counseling and advocating for each of you.

Caring for the people in my community has been a lifelong journey for me, lasting over 30 years! I started my early career in Pediatrics, then moved into nursing and health education, and finally ended up with my master’s degree in Assessment Psychology from Carlow University. As a result, I can design a treatment program custom to your unique needs and goals. I hope that all my future patients will know that entering a positive therapeutic relationship with me can include not only traditional approaches but also spirituality and culture as well. I enjoy working with all populations but have a special interest in supporting patients who are caretakers or struggling with loss and grief.

My hobbies include tea gardening, fabric arts, and global travel. I also love spending time with my two show-quality Pekingese (Moose and Squirrel) and my curly-haired cat, Elfie.
